Aquamacs’ support team actually read crash reports!

I always thought that automatic crash reports went mostly straight to the bin, mostly used for statistics. Well, turns out I was wrong! This came to my inbox recently:

Dear Aquamacs user,

I’m writing because you reported a crash or hang problem with Aquamacs that occurred after a reboot or login.  Aquamacs was started automatically by the system in such cases.

I believe we’ve solved the problem.  You can download a test version of the new Aquamacs from here:


Thank you for your crash report, and please do report any problems with the test version so we can address them before the next release.
