Mining bitcoins on a solar-powered Raspberry Pi 2: Part 3

Update: Here are the links for Part1Part 2Part 4, and how to run the Pi from a battery

First thing: the buck usb adapter from the previous post does not seem to work. It works for some seconds, and fails. (There is a video of it in the previous post). I will connect it directly to a 12V power outlet and see if it’s not enough power coming from my panel.

So I just used the buck regulator, set to 5V, and connected it directly to a usb hub. It provides enough power for the hub and a raspberry pi 2. If does not, however, work when I attach the antminers. The whole thing just shuts down.

But I have a working, stable run with 100% solar energy 😉
